Our history
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 2068 The Metal Jackets was established in Manassas, Virginia at Osbourn Park High School. Team 2068 consists primarily of students at Osbourn Park and across Prince William County Public Schools.
The Metal Jackets were founded in 2007 as a STEM initiative for inspired students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Metal Jackets have competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) for 9 continuous years. They were named the Rookie All Star team of the year at the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship in 2008. We play a significant role in our community by involving Elementary and Middle school students with our multiple FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Competitions. These events hosted by us offer elementary and middle school students the opportunity to explore hands-on robots and accomplish challenges determined by FIRST.
