FTC

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) encourages and challenges teams up to 15 people, from ages 12-18, to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in exciting robotics competitions on a 12ft by 12ft field (FIRST). Guided by skilled adult mentors and coaches, students learn and develop STEM skills, while also realizing the importance of innovation and teamwork (FIRST). From designing and building robots, to team marketing and community outreach, students learn and harness a variety of real-world skills to not only better them in the world of robotics, but also in their daily lives.

During the 2020-2021 season, we were unsure whether we would be able to have an FRC season. FTC was perfect for us to be able to continue to participate in robotics during the COVID-19 pandemic as we could share parts, and learn virtually and through social distancing!
