Description: The Metal Jackets are gearing up for their THIRD Annual FREE 'STEM Is A Girl Thing' set of workshops. This is a workshop geared towards girls in our community to learn hands-on about STEM disciplines. During these workshops, female high school leads on the FRC Team 2068 have fully coordinated the workshops and will teach students about the basics of STEM. The workshop, “STEM is a Girl Thing,” is catered towards female elementary students (grades 3-5 and ages 8-12) in Title I schools without a robotics team in Prince William County, focusing on building their programming, electrical, and mechanical skills. Across a two weekend session, the girls will be provided activities and opportunities for collaboration, teaching the core values of FIRST and the engineering process.
