Advocacy Webinars

On May 7th and May 15th, 2025, the Metal Jackets hosted 2 webinars in collaboration with FIRST Chesapeake dedicated to inclusivity in STEM. Some of our team members joined and presented these webinars, and promoted Women in STEM. You can find the live stream and more info below.

Our first webinar was hosted on May 7th, 2025. This Webinar was dedicated to Advocacy and how to advocate. 2 of our team members and our lead mentor showcased their presentation along with Delegate Seawell from Virginia and Shelly Stoddard, the director of FTC.

Our second webinar was hosted on May 15th, 2025. This Webinar was dedicated to the inclusivity of Women in Stem, and how we have contributed to this. In this webinar, we discussed the origins of our program that promotes women in STEM, #ThisIsAGirlThing. We also go into depth about what we do to promote these ideas in Stem. 2 of our team members and our lead mentor showcased their presentation along with Monica Nichols, the President of Pink Space Theory and Shelly Stoddard, the director of FTC.
